Amsterdam Photos

Here are the photos from Amsterdam. Not as many as the last few cities I've been to, but that's mostly because we went to museums (can't take photos in them), but enjoy:

Prague, Czech Republic

Arrived by train on Saturday. The ride was gorgeous! We were following a river through mountains and hills. Walked to our hostel and converted some money to the Czech Crown. 1 Euro is around 24 Crowns and 1 US Dollar is 17 Crowns to give you guys an idea of their currency. A little difficult to understand, but I ended up understanding the currency. We walked around and grabbed some pizza and some absinthe. First time drinking absinthe. Doesn't go down without a burn. We went out to the biggest club in Central Europe called Karlovy Lázne. It's a 5-story club with different themes on each floor. The guy tried to rip me off since I'm American with the currency, but luckily I caught him and got my money back. Our hostel told us to watch out for certain currency exchanges because they try to scam foreigners. Thankfully, they're very helpful. This is definitely the cheapest place we've been to so far. On Sunday we ate a fine lunch for very cheap and then were off to The Charles Bridge. From there we walked to the Lobkowicz Palace (Prague Castle). On the way we snapped some photos of St. Nicholas' Church. We checked out the entire palace, which is enormous! It must be the biggest building in all of Prague. It stretches on and on and on. Inside the palace is St. Vitus Cathedral which is also massive. It's a beautiful cathedral. Can't wait to post pictures of it. We also were able to watch the changing of the guards of the palace that happens every hour. The guards are somewhat similar to the English guards. We went to the Old Town Square afterward and heard mid-evil trumpets playing from the surrounding towers. For dinner, we went to go to this Beer Garden called Pivovar U Flecku, founded in 1499. Pretty tasty food. After we tried to go to this rooftop restaurant for a drink at the U Prince Hotel, but it was closing so we went just walked around the city a little bit. On Monday, we grabbed some food and then went to the Mucha Museum. In the afternoon, we went over to the John Lennon Wall (google it or wait for my pictures). It's pretty cool. Then we had dinner at the Prince U Hotel on the rooftop. Went to an American bar called Jáma to grab a few Czech beers before we called it a night. We had great weather most of the trip. It rained a little bit, but mostly it was very sunny! I even got to wear shorts in the first time in a couple of months! Everything in Prague was picture-worthy. The architecture and rivers make it a beautiful city. Even random buildings have statues built on the roofs! Anyway, just checked into our hostel after a long train ride to Vienna! I'm going to post a bunch of pictures soon. Got a lot done on the train. Posting them soon!
