Catchin up

Been so busy lately! My mom, mamó, and aunt noreen came out to visit last week. They stayed in Limerick for a few days and then came down to Cork. Showed them my school, the English Market (which they ended up going back to everyday), the streets of Cork, we did some shopping and exploring. Took them to a good number of pubs to listen to some TRAD. Had some lovelyyy meals as well. Besides the rain, everything was perfect! Lots of drinking and late nights. Had dinner with Kitty Hendrick one of the nights as well. Crazy how she looks just like daidió. Very jealous of the hotel they stayed in while they were here, veryyy nice! Went to celebrate mamó's birthday up in Limerick with some family and friends. Tried to catch a bus, but ended up taking a cab all the way to Limerick for 150€! Talk about style. Arrived at another beautiful hotel and relaxed before the big birthday dinner with some champagne. Tom and Vera Naughton, Christina and Justine McGinn, Kitty and Timmy Kelly, Eileen Griffin, and Zach flew in from London for dessert. We ended up heading out to a pub around the corner. Made friends with some strangers and ended up singing TRAD songs that had a meaning to Mamó. Went to the cemetery the next day to see how of our passed relatives, which was really cool. Also saw some IRA graves and the orphans of Good Shepherd. We shopped a little bit in Limerick as well for the family back at home. Took it easy for the rest of the day. Had dinner in the hotel and Kitty, Christina, and Zach came by to say goodbye. Mom, Mamó, and Noreen left early in the morning the next day. Stayed in Limerick with the McGinns. Walked around the monuments in Limerick such as King Johns Castle. Watched the unfortunate loss in the 6 Nations Cup between Ireland and France. Had dinner at the McGinns and headed back to Cork. What a week! Great seeing family and friends!
